Information we collect through usage:
We collect several types of technical data as you use our services. This type of information covers a wide variety of data and can be as simple as your location (i.e. the arena or stadium in which you are located) or the type of device you are using. The following list explains the categories of data we collect as you use our services:
Your Location. One of Kisscam’s most important features is its social gaming and photo-sharing applications within sports venues. When you use Kisscam’s services, Kisscam may identify and store your location and the location of Kisscam users with whom you are interacting. This information can be very exact, such as a specific location within a stadium. We determine location information using a variety of instruments – cell towers, WIFI transmitters, wireless systems and sensors within your mobile devices (smart phones, smart watches, etc.).
Device Information. We often collect information associated with the device you are using to interact with the Kisscam app or website. For example, the Kisscam app that you download onto your mobile device will access the device and identify its hardware, operating system, software, specifications and data needed to operate the app. The Kisscam app may also access specific hardware components within your device to operate the app and facilitate your use of our systems. Device sensors, camera and the device microphone are examples of hardware used by the Kisscam app.
Contacts. One of Kisscam’s key features is interacting with other our other users. To accomplish this, the Kisscam app will need to access the contacts stored on your mobile device. Any use or access to your contacts only occurs via your consent.
A cookie does not collect or keep your name or other personally identifying information; however, we may link the information obtained through cookies to other personally identifiable information to give us a better understanding of your preferences. This allows us to provide you with a more meaningful experience when using our services.
The Internet Protocol (“IP”) address used by your device, web pages accessed before and after visiting Kisscam, pages viewed and browser used (Safari, Chrome, Explorer) are all examples of information we collect. Kisscam may also use data associated with cookies placed on your device by third parties. The content and pictures you send through our services may include embedded technical data known as “metadata” that may be used or collected by our systems. Metadata can include “geotags” that tag your location within a photo or other information that makes it easier for your friends to find you and interact with your content.
Third Party Analytics. App and web-based companies like Kisscam rely heavily on measuring and making sense of the data associated with our users. This helps us to understand how the Kisscam services are being used for the benefit of our advertising and marketing partners. We look to other service providers to measure usage, traffic to our website and through our apps. Often, third-party analytics are critical for us in determining how to improve Kisscam and to build a better experience for our users. Much of this type of information is strictly data-based (numbers) and does not involve personally identifiable information.
How Does Kisscam Use Your Information?
All of this leads to an obvious question – How does Kisscam use my information? The answer, quite simply, is “lots of ways.” We use your information to:
